Despite a 2-0 lead for 90-plus minutes of the match, it all came down to the final play which saw Alex Tambakis stop an Orange County SC penalty kick for a 2-1 victory. The win was the fourth straight for New Mexico United as they earned another three points in the USL standings. The Black and Yellow are currently in third place in the USL Western Conference. USL Player of the Week, Justin Portillo, scored his fourth goal in the last three matches just 18 minutes into the match. United's second goal came from Chris Wehan.
